Indian captain Virat Kohli received the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India on Thursday. The award was presented by President Pranab Mukherjee. He has had a phenomenal year in cricket where he’s scored runs with the bat and also led his side to unprecedented success. First Player to Receive the Polly Umrigar Award 3 times- Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli Named Test Captain of the Year 2016 At Espn Cricinfo Awards

Indian Captain Virat Kohli has been named as captain of the year at the 10th annual Espn Cricinfo Awards. He has led India to 9 wins in 12 test. England all rounder Ben Stokes won the best test batsman of the year for his magnificent innings of 258 runs of 198 balls against South Africa in Cape town. His team mate Stuart Broad won him the best test bowler for his magnificent spell of bowling of 6 wickets for 17 runs. Virat Kohli Puma Deal Strikes 100 Crore contract with Single Brand

Indian Captain Virat Kohli became the first Indian sportsperson to sign a 100 crore endorsement deal with a single brand.

He has struck a deal an eight year deal with sports lifestyle brand Puma worth 110 crore. He is set to join along with the likes of Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt,Asafa Powell and footballers Thierry Henry and Oliver Giroud among others as a global brand ambassador for the brand.
