First Player to Receive the Polly Umrigar Award 3 times- Virat Kohli

Indian captain Virat Kohli will become the first player to receive the Polly Umrigar Award for the third time at a function which is to be held on 8th March in Bangalore at the BCCI annual awards. He received his first award in the year 2011-12 and the second one was in the year 2014-15.

Ravichandran Ashwin who was considered as the number 1 bowler and allrounder in tests by ICC, will also be the first player to receive the Dilip Sardesai Award 2 times. He received the first award for his best performance in the bilateral series between India and West Indies after he won the man of the series in the year 2011. He was again named the Man of the Series in the four-Test series in West Indies after he made two centuries and finished with 17 wickets, including 2 five-wicket hauls.
